Breeding Program

   Breeding Program

The OccuPaws Board of Directors is proud to introduce to you our breeding females. At this time, OccuPaws is in the early stages of developing our own breeding program, so we are also accepting donations of English Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever and Standard Poodle puppies that meet our selection criteria for size, health, and temperment. Our minimum standards for all guide dog candidates require that the parents have official OFA Hip and Elbow, Cerf and PRA clearances as well as the pups being EIC non-affected or clear. Cardiac clearances would be an added benefit.
If you would like to donate a young dog or puppy to OccuPaws, please send an email to our Breeding Director. Please note that all donations are tax deductible.

Future Breeding Description

OccuPaws has several future breeding prospects. All of our female Labrador Retrievers with full AKC registration will be evaluated at 16-18 months old for their suitability for our breeding program. Temperament, structure and workability all play a key role in determining which dogs will be the best fit for producing future guide dog puppies.
